Service Offered
Centre for the local community. Advice on benefits, education, training, employment, health, immigration. Help with filling in forms. Translation, interpreting and orientation for newly arrived refugees. English, maths, computing, mother tongue language classes. Volunteer home visiting and befriending service for isolated older people, including help with shopping. Activities/classes for children.
Target Group
The local community, including Asian, Somali, Ethiopian, Chinese communities, particularly refugees.
Languages
Arabic, Farsi, Gujarati, Hindi, Nepali, Punjabi, Urdu, Welsh and access to interpreters.
